We inquire into building simple and more complicated robots, which are brought to life by children using WeDo 2.0 educational sets. Each lesson takes young engineers to a different learning environment through a story. The story background is a combination of fun and educational components (from investigating space to noticing different coding systems). We build various models and learn to program them with an intuitive software which helps children to systematically develop critical, logical and computational thinking skills. Each child is challenged by the teacher according to his level of skills, when it comes to both language and engineering. We work in pairs to support the best development of our communication skills. The programme is therefore equally beneficial to students who are native speakers and to Czech learners of English as a second language.
The course has 12 lessons per trimester.

The Simple Robotics course introduces children to the basics of programming. With the help of computer technologies, children learn to control the models they create, thus they are transferred to a magical world where everything is possible with the correct use of various codes.
This course takes place in Czech language.
