The course acquaints preschoolers and children who attend 1st and 2nd grade with the world of mathematics in a playful way. The teacher gives the children motivating problems to solve using LEGO® cubes so that the children view and solve the whole procedure by manipulating and constructing. Children solve specific problems that they know from their own experience (topics are, for example, the world of insects, the animal kingdom) through play, they are motivated to think about mathematics and enthusiastically share their thought processes and results. LEGO® cubes are the perfect tool to support younger children’s learning – in addition to mathematical perception and reasoning, they also develop fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Come play with us every week for 50 minutes.
The course has 12 lessons per trimester.
